Voices from the Edges

young people playing music together

diversity + music + community = confidence

Voices from the edges is a programme for young people to gain access to music making in a safe environment, supported by professional musicians.

This programme has been developed through and building on 10 years of experience, knowledge and techniques working alongside Delta 7, a BAFTA nominated band of learning disabled musicians.

Voices From The Edges has been successfully delivered in both community and educational settings where young people have the opportunity to immerse themselves in songwriting, try out instruments and the process of recording a song in a pop-up studio environment.

To book sessions for your community or educational setting please get in touch via email: info@cultureshift.org.uk

Below you will find a short film with clips and audio recorded during sessions delivered in partnership with Sussex Community Development Association at the Newhaven Youth Centre.

Voices From The Edges is funded by People’s Health Trust using money raised by Health Lottery South East.

People's Health Trust is an independent charity investing in local neighbourhoods to help create a society without health inequalities. It works closely with each of the regional and country lotteries raising money through The Health Lottery, and distributes grants.
